The above quote is from King Arthur and his knights of the roundtable. It was President Kennedy's favorite line in the song on the subject. The Kennedy presidency became known as America's Camelot. On this site we will explore the entire JFK story, from his birth through his tragic assassination in Dallas while serving as our 35th President.
We will concentrate a lot on the assassination and cover all the theories, players and reasons. Very shortly after the assassination, the newly sworn in President Johnson asked for the formation of a commission to examine the assassination. This became the Warren Commission, named after Chief Justice Earl Warren who headed it. The panel consisted of three Republicans and three Democrats as well as two others. They presented their final results to President Johnson and the Nation on September 24, 1964. What was intended to close the case so to speak, only made matters worse. Soon, endless theories started on what really happened that fateful day. Over six decades later today, we still do not have the full truth.
“Don’t let it be forgot, that once there was a spot, for one brief, shining moment that was known as Camelot. There’ll be great presidents again… but there will never be another Camelot.” - Jacqueline Kennedy
Part of a long southern swing on his re-election campaign, the President stopped in Dallas, TX on 11/22/63 for an open vehicle motorcade through downtown. After a luncheon and speech at the Trade Mart, it was onto Austin, TX for the last leg of this tour.
Air Force One landed at Love Field at 11:35am. The President and First Lady disembarked and mingled with the crowd for a few minutes before they entered the limo for the motorcade to begin.
The President has approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes left of his short life.

This is the Phil Willis photo. Taken in Dealey Plaza on 11/22/1963 just seconds before the assassination. It is a very important photo as it shows the reverse direction that Abraham Zapruder was recording from in his famous film. Mr. Willis swore in his testimony to the Warren Commission that he snapped his camera shutter at the exact moment he heard the 1st shot. We know this is correct by the reaction of the observer in white on the far right of photo. He reacts like he clearly just heard something, yet he is the only one reacting so far. If other shots had already been heard, other people would be reacting in terror. It looks like JFK is lowering his arm from waving. He has been hit. I believe this was the shot in the presidents back, just below his right shoulder. This bullet only penetrated a few inches and doctors at Parkland Hospital inserted fingers to the end of the wound. But no bullet was still in the wound. Many years after the assassination, a Secret Service Agent named Paul Landis claimed in his book that while inspecting the presidential limo at Parkland Hospital, he retrieved a bullet from the back seat. Not knowing who to give it to and knowing it was important evidence, or maybe in pure panic of touching evidence, he placed it on a gurney inside the hospital and told no one.
For those with any knowledge of the JFK assassination then they are familiar with Warren Commission Exhibit #399. The pristine "magic bullet" that was found on a stretcher in Parkland Hospital. According to the Warren Commission, JFK was shot in the back neck area. This bullet according to them exited the front of his neck just below the adams apple and then entered Governor Connally seating in front of him. The bullet went through Connally and entered his right wrist, exited his wrist and lodged in his thigh. They claim in the Report that it was this bullet that was found on the stretcher. One can immediately see the problem with this explanation. The Report said that Lee Harvey Oswald fired three shots, with the first shot missing completely and hitting concrete that broke a piece off and flying into a spectators face causing a minor cut. We already have a missing bullet and neither the fatal head shot, nor the actual neck shot I believe, has happened yet.
We can clearly see Abraham Zapruder standing on his pedestal filming. The limo will go out of his view in a second as it passes in front of the Stemmons Freeway sign. When it reappears Kennedy is reaching for his throat as seen in the Z-film. A gun shot victim will always grab the entry point, not the exit. Thus making that shot from the front, not the rear as the Warren Commission claims. According to the Commission, all shots came from the 6th floor of the School Book Depository and all fired by Oswald. This Stemmons Freeway sign was removed after the assassination which was either because of a bullet hole, or to prevent someone from standing where Zapruder was and determining when the neck wound would have happened. This timeline is important to disprove the magic bullet. Zapruder gave his video camera to the FBI for inspection and the FBI determined that the camera was taking 18.2 frames a second. Knowing this, if someone stood on the pedestal that he was on and timed how JFK reacted to his neck wound, it might prove that a single lone bullet could not have caused all the wounds the Commission claims it did. With the sign removed, it is much harder to get the position of the limo correct on the road to start timing the presidents reactions.
